Dale J. Beck, Ph.D.,
has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of psychiatry in the adult psychiatry division.
Before joining SIU, he did clinical research at the Illinois Bureau of Pharmacy and Clinical Support Services in Springfield (1999-2008). Beck was a research fellow at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (1996-99). He was an assistant research professor at St. Louis University School of Medicine (1993-95) and a research scientist at Monsanto Research Corporation (1989-93).
He earned his doctorate degree at St. Louis University (1988) and his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in biology at the University of Missouri-St. Louis (1981, 1978).
He has published more than 30 professional papers and holds one patent. He is a member of American Chemical Society, International Society for the Study of Xenobiotics and Society of Toxicology.
