Dr. Deliang Cao, Ph.D., Most recently, Cao was an associate research scientist of internal medicine and a postdoctoral associate of pharmacology at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn. (2000-05, 1997-2000). Previously, he was a lecturer in genetics at Shantou University School of Medicine in China (1989-92). He earned his doctoral degree at the University of Hong Kong (1996), his master's degree at Harbin Medical University (1989) and his medical degree at Hengyang Medical College (1984), all in China. Cao is continuing a research project at SIU funded by a three-year grant from the American Cancer Society for $720,000. He has published 40 research articles and abstracts and has received grant support for his research of breast, colon and liver cancers. He is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research. -30- |
