Deborah A. Case Deborah Case portrait has been named director of development at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.  She is responsible for securing private philanthropic support for various School of Medicine programs in Springfield and Carbondale and its affiliate family medicine centers in Carbondale, Decatur and Quincy.

Previously, Case was senior associate director at Northwestern University-Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago (2006-07); director of planned giving at Parkland College Foundation in Champaign (2005-06); and director of development at Tulane University in New Orleans (1999-2005).  She also was director of development at Milestone, Inc. in Rockford (1996-98), and director of resource development at Lutheran Social Services of Illinois in Des Plaines (1991-96).  She was on the part-time faculty at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn (1986-91) and was a marketing officer for Wells Fargo Leasing Corporation in Chicago (1980-84) and Merrill Lynch, Huntoon, Paige in New York (1977-80). 

Case earned her master’s and bachelor’s degrees at Ohio State University (1975, 1974).  She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
