Dr. Bulent Cetindag has joined the faculty at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of surgery.  He specializes in trauma and critical care and general surgery and is a member of the Southern Illinois Trauma Center. 

Prior to joining SIU, Cetindag completed his surgery residency at SIU (2009).  He also served a fellowship in trauma and critical care at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee (2005-06).   He received his medical school degree from Ege University School of Medicine in Izmir, Turkey (1990). 

Centidag is a member of several medical societies, including the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the American College of Surgeons.  He has authored several book chapters and articles and has multiple research interests.
