Dr. Subhash C. Chaudhary joined the faculty in pediatrics at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 1977. He currently is professor of pediatric infectious diseases.
Chaudhary completed a two-year fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases and his pediatrics residency at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. (1977, 1975). He earned his medical degree at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi (1972) and his premedical degree from Hindu College (1966).
Chaudhary is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases by the American Board of Pediatrics. His memberships include the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society, Infectious Diseases Society of America and American Academy of Pediatrics.
His research interests include pathogenesis and treatment of Group A streptococcal infections, fever of unknown origin, Kawasaki disease and epidemiology and control of nosocomial infections.
