Wendy Cox-Largent has joined the staff at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as the chief financial officer (CFO) for SIU Physicians & Surgeons.

Previously, she served as the chief executive officer for Chicago Family Health Center (2000-08), executive director of Family Community Wellness Center in Chicago (1995-2000) and accounting supervisor at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago (1991-94).

Cox-Largent received her master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in health care management from DePaul University in Chicago (2005) and her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University in Bloomington (1988).  She is a certified public accountant.

She is a member of the National Association of Community Health Centers, the Medical Group Management Association, the Illinois Primary Health Care Association and the HealthCare Consortium of Illinois.

A native of Chicago, Cox-Largent is married to Philippe Largent and has two stepchildren.
