Brandon Caroline Cox, Ph.D., has joined the faculty as an assistant professor in pharmacology, where she studies hearing loss and regeneration of cells found in the inner ear using mouse genetics.

She completed her postdoctoral training at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. in 2013 and received her Ph.D. in pharmacology from Georgetown University in Washington, DC (2008).

Previously, she worked as a clinical research coordinator for psychiatric and neurological disorders at Radiant Research (formerly, the Chicago Center for Clinical Research, a division of Protocare Trials) from 1999‐2002. She received a B.S. in biology from the University of Richmond, Va. (1999).
