Dr. Klara I. Curtis joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 1999.  She is an assistant professor of internal medicine and psychiatry.

She completed her residency in medicine-psychiatry at SIU (1999).  She earned her medical degree from Medical University of Pecs in Pecs, Hungary (1992).

Curtis is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.  She is a member of the American College of Physicians, the National Association for Dually Diagnosed and the American Psychiatric Association.  She serves on the Central Illinois Community Palliative Care Initiative Committee.

Her interests are in the field of psychiatric care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
