Dr. Robert M. Ewart
joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an associate professor of family and community medicine.
Previously, he was a family practitioner in Lincoln, Neb. (1985-94), Hays, Kan. (1984-85) and Port Colborne, Ontario (1976-82). He also was a part-time faculty member in family medicine at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, while working on a graduate degree in epidemiology (1994-96).
Ewart completed his family practice residency at Ottawa Civic Hospital (1976). He earned his medical degree at McMaster University (1974) and his bachelor’s at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario (1968).
He is board certified as a diplomate in family practice by the American Board of Family Physicians and has a certificant from the College of Family Physicians of Canada. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice.
A native of Hamilton, Ontario, Ewart is married to Victoria Vincent.
