Dr. Craig E. Batterman has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of pediatrics.

Previously, he was a staff pediatrician at Capital Community Health Center (2000-01) and St. John's Hospital Pediatric Express Care (1999-2000).

Batterman earned his bachelor's degree at DePaul University in Chicago (1992) and his medical degree at Rush Medical College in Chicago (1997). He completed his pediatric residency at SIU School of Medicine (2000).

He is board certified in pediatrics by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

A native of Park Forest, Batterman and his wife, Tanya DeSanto, D.D.S., have one child.
