Dr. Zachariah Gurnsey 
has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of internal medicine. He will work as a hospitalist for SIU’s general internal medicine division.
Gurnsey completed his residency in internal medicine and earned his medical degree at SIU (2009, 2006). He earned his bachelor’s degree at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington (2002).
Gurnsey is board eligible in internal medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physicians.
Born in Springfield, he is married to Jennifer Gurnsey and they have two daughters.
