Dr. Sayeeda Azra Jabeen has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of internal medicine.  She will work as a hospitalist for SIU’s general internal medicine division.

Jabeen completed a residency in internal medicine at SIU School of Medicine (2007).  She received her medical degree at Bangalore Medical College in Karataka, India (2000).
She is board eligible for certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians.  Her clinical interests include esophageal and gastrointestinal diseases.

A native of India, Jabeen is married to Syed Hashmi and has one child.
