Molly Tillay Johnson
has joined the medical staff at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as a pediatric/family nurse practitioner, providing patient services at Southern Illinois Family Medicine in Carbondale. She also is a faculty member for the medical school’s doctoring program for first-year medical students in Carbondale.
Johnson previously was a family nurse practitioner with Rural Health Inc. in Anna, Ill. (1985-2010) and Shawnee Health Center Migrant Camp in Cobden (1994-2000) as well as Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Penn. (1983-84).
Johnson completed her master’s in nursing at Lienhard School of Nursing in Pleasantville, N.Y. (1982) and her bachelor’s degree in biology at Washington University in St. Louis (1980).
She is certified as both a pediatric and family nurse practitioner. She is a member of the American College of Nurse Practitioners and Illinois Society of Advanced Practice Nurses.
A resident of Alto Pass, Johnson is married to Dan Johnson and they have two sons.

Johnson cares for patients of all ages but is especially interested in pediatric health care. She is accepting new patients at SIU’s Southern Illinois Family Medicine, which is located on the second floor of the Professional Office Building at 305 W.
