Dr. Susan M. Klein has joined the faculty of southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor family and community medicine at SIU Decatur Family Practice Center. She comes to the School from a private practice in Clinton, Ill.
Since 1995, Klein has served as a volunteer faculty at the Decatur Family Practice Center, where she completed her family practice residency (1992).
She earned her medicine degree at the University of Illinois (UI) School of Medicine in Chicago (1988) and her bachelor's in biology at the UI in Urbana (1984).
Klein is certified by the American Board of Family Practice and by the National Board of Medical Examiners. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the Illinois Academy of Family Practice, the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology and the American Medical Women's Association.
A native of Chatham, Klein and her husband, Ken, have four children.
