Dr. Lauri F. Lopp Dr. Lauri Lopp portrait has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of family and community medicine.

Lopp was on the faculty at the University of Iowa (UI) Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City (2005-06). She also served as an emergency room physician in Iowa with Emergency Practice Associates in Washington and at Marengo Memorial Hospital in Marengo (2005-06). She previously worked as a radiology research assistant at UI (1997-98).

She completed her family medicine residency at UI Hospitals and Clinics (2005). She also earned her medical and bachelor’s degrees at UI (2002, 1997).

Lopp is board certified in family practice. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. She has co-authored journal articles on her research interest of anxiety in patients.

A native of Sheridan, Montana, Lopp is married to Brian Lopp and has one daughter.
