Frank Martinez, J.D., has joined the office of general counsel at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.

Most recently, Martinez was assistant corporation counsel for the City of Springfield (2002-11).  He previously was general counsel for Health Professional in Peoria (1999-02).  He practiced law in Illinois, Minnesota and Missouri (1994-99).

A native of Sterling, Ill., Martinez earned his law and his bachelor’s degrees from the University of Iowa in Iowa City (1993, 1984).
