Mary Ellen McAsey, Ph.D., McAsey was a postdoctoral research associate and earned her doctoral degree at the University of Arizona in Tucson (1996, 1995). She earned her master’s and her bachelor’s degrees at the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh (1978, 1975). McAsey is certified as a high complexity clinical laboratory director and an embryology laboratory director by the American Board of Bioanalysis. She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Society for the Study of Reproduction Society for Neuroscience, American Association of Bioanalysts and the research honor society Sigma Xi. McAsey’s special interests include neuroendocrine role of estrogen in aging and neurodegenerative diseases, the therapeutic use of stem cells in gynecologic cancers and neuroprotective mechanisms in the preterm infant. -30- |
