Dr. Anne V. Miller has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of internal medicine, specializing in rheumatology. [Note: She was promoted to associate professor in July 2013.]
Most recently, she was on staff at Fayetteville VA Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark., and in solo practice at Arthritis Associates of Northwest Arkansas in Springdale (2001-07).
Miller previously was on staff at the Springdale Diagnostic Clinic (1996-2001) and Rogers Diagnostic Clinic in Ark. (1991-96). She worked with Arthritis Associates in Webster Grove, Mo. (1989-91) and Group Health Plan in St. Louis (1984-91). She began her career as a faculty member of St. Louis University (SLU) (1982-84).
She completed a two-year fellowship in rheumatology and her internal medicine residency at SLU Group Hospitals (1982, 1980). She earned her medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine (1977) and her bachelor’s from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (1973).
Miller is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. Her memberships include the American College of Physicians, American College of Rheumatology, International Society for Clinical Densitometry and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Her professional interests include adult rheumatology and the diagnosis, treatment and education of osteoporosis.
A native of East Moline, Miller is married to William H. Miller and has two children.
