Dr. Shubhangi Peche has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of pediatrics. She will provide health care in the division of child and adolescent neurology. She also is a member of SIU HealthCare, the medical school’s practice group.

Peche completed her fellowship in pediatric neurology at St. Louis Children’s Hospital (SLCH), Barnes Jewish Hospital and Washington University (WU) in St. Louis (2012), her residency in pediatrics at SLCH and WU (2009), and a residency in pediatrics at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Mumbai (2004). She received her medical degree from the SRTR Medical College in Ambajogai, India (2002).

Peche is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, Child Neurology Society and the American Pediatric Association.
She and her husband, Dr. Sushant Kale, who also is on the faculty at SIU School of Medicine, live in Springfield and have one daughter.
