Dr. Laura Yuen Mun Salazar has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of general internal medicine.

Salazar completed her residency in internal medicine and earned her medical degree, both at SIU School of Medicine (2010, 2007).  She earned her bachelor’s at the University of Chicago (2000).

She is a member of the American College of Physicians and is board eligible in internal medicine. 

A native of Morton Grove, Salazar is the daughter of Pang and Anna Liang of Morton Grove and is married to Israel Salazar from Corpus Christi, Texas.
