Dr. Raj Sreedhar Dr. Sreedhar portrait has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of pulmonary and critical care medicine.

Sreedhar completed a one-year fellowship in critical care medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (2007) and a two-year fellowship in pulmonary medicine at SIU (2006).  He completed his internal medicine residency at SIU (2004) and earned his medical degree at Banglaore University in Bangalore, India (1998).

Sreedhar is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and sleep medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and also is certified in sleep medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine.  He is an associate member of the American College of Chest Physicians and a member of the American College of Physicians, American Thoracic Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

His clinical and research interests include the care of critically ill patients in the intensive care unit, lung fibrosis, pulmonary artery hypertension, emphysema, lung cancer, and sleep disorders such as apnea and insomnia.

A native of India, Sreedhar is married to Dr. Vidya Sundareshan and has one child.
