Wang recently completed a one-year fellowship in neuromuscular disease and clinical neurophysiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (2005). He completed a neurology residency at SIU School of Medicine (2004).
He was a postdoctoral associate in biochemistry and pharmacology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis-St. Paul (1999) and a research assistant in neurology at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, (1990-93).
Wang earned his doctoral degree at Karolinska Institute (1993) and completed his neurology residency and earned his medical degree at Hunan Medical University in Changsha, China (1989, 1984).
He is a member of American Academy of Neurology and American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He has published 30 journal articles and his research interests include myasthenia gravis and neuroimmunology.
A native of China, Wang is married to Jianhua and has two children.
