James Waymack, M.D., has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of emergency medicine. He will provide medical care for the Department of Surgery in Springfield. He is also a member of SIU HealthCare, the medical school’s practice group.
Waymack completed his residency in emergency medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine (2013) where he earned his medical degree (2010). He earned his bachelor’s degree in biological science magna cum laude from Western Illinois University in Macomb (2006). He was an emergency medical technician from 2001-05.
Waymack is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Waymack and his wife, Kimberly, live in New Berlin with their daughter, Madeline.
