Andrew Yochum, D.O., has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of family and community medicine. He will provide care in the SIU Center for Family Medicine in Carbondale and West Frankfort sites. He also is a member of SIU HealthCare, the medical school’s practice group.
Yochum has been a family medicine physician on the staff at Rea Clinic in Duquoin, Ill., since 2007. He completed a residency in family medicine at SIU’s Family Medicine Program in Carbondale in 2007. He received his osteopathic medical degree from the Andrew Taylor Still University of Health Science - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Mo., (2004) and a bachelor’s degree at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville (1999).
Yochum is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, and a member of the American Osteopathic Association and American Medical Association. Yochum and his wife, Dana, live in Carterville with their four children.
