Dr. Ra’Kerry K. Rahman has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery. He also is a member of SIU HealthCare, the medical school’s practice group.
Rahman recently completed a fellowship in spinal surgery at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (2011). He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center in New York (2010). Rahman earned his medical degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry (2005) in Rochester, N.Y. He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee (2000).
Rahman is board eligible in orthopaedic surgery and has been published in several professional journals.
