Dr. Santosh Shrestha has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of psychiatry, specializing in developmental disabilities.   He also is a member of SIU HealthCare, the medical school’s practice group.

Shrestha competed his residency in psychiatry at SIU (2011) and earned his medical degree from the College of Medical Sciences-Bharatpur, Kathmandu University, in Chitwan, Nepal (2002) and his undergraduate degree from Tribhuvan University-St. Xavier’s Kathmandu in Nepal (1995).

Shrestha is board eligible in psychiatry and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.

He is married to Seleena Shrestha.
