Dr. Thamilvani Thiruvasahar has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of internal medicine.  A member of SIU HealthCare, the medical school’s practice group, she will work as a hospitalist for SIU’s general internal medicine division.

Thiruvasahar recently completed an internal medicine residency at SIU (2011).  A native of Sri Lanka, she earned her medical degree at University of Jaffna in Sri Lanka (2005).

She is board eligible in internal medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians.

Thiruvasahar is a native of Sri Lanka.

She is married to Manikkavasaghar Thiruvasahar.
