SIU School of Medicine Employees Honored for Service

The School of Medicine has honored 58 employees for their years of service working in Springfield, Decatur and Quincy.

Employees recognized for 30 years of service were Luann Carron, reimbursement coding specialist, surgery; Jerry Colliver, Ph.D., professor, statistics and research; Rodger Elble, M.D., Ph.D., professor and chair, neurology; Richard French, director, information resources; James Hale, senior applications analyst, SIU HealthCare information systems; Deanna Lauderdale, library operations associate, medical library; Susan Redding, clinic nurse,  internal medicine; Leonard Rybak, M.D., Ph.D., professor and distinguished scholar, surgery; and William Wiant, laboratory animal care technician, laboratory animal medicine.

Awards for 25 years of service went to Lisa Adams, benefits counselor, human resources; Timothy Carroll, clerical assistant, SIU HealthCare clinic support operations; Karen Coe, library assistant, medical library; Eugene Gronewald, chief building operating engineer, capital planning and service operations; Joseph Henkle, M.D., professor and division chief, internal medicine; David LeVault, police sergeant, Capital Planning and Service Operations; Robert Meech, researcher, surgery; Deborah-Lynn Slater, ambulatory care assistant, SIU HealthCare coding; and Suzanne Tin, fundraising specialist, development.
