SIU Med School to Display Enos School Artwork
Artwork by Enos Elementary School students will be exhibited Thursday, March 15, through Thursday, March 29, in the main lobby (second floor) of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, 801 N. Rutledge St., Springfield.
The exhibit consists of 77 pieces of art created by Enos students in kindergarten through fifth grade. It will be open to the public during the School’s regular business hours, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. weekdays. A reception will be held for the young artists and their families at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, March 29.
This is the 16th year for the exhibit. Enos has been SIU’s “adopted school” in Springfield School District 186’s business partner program since 1985. The art exhibit is among a number of ongoing activities presented by SIU and its employees for Enos students throughout the school year. These activities range from mentoring to donating school supplies and reading materials.
