Global Health Care Reform Ideas to be Presented at SIU
Nationally recognized leaders in health care will be the keynote speakers for the 29th annual E. Shannon Stauffer Spring Visiting Professor Lecture, presented by Southern Illinois University School of Medicine’s Division of Orthopaedics.
“The Evolving Healthcare Reform Landscape” will be held from 8 a.m. to noon, Thursday, May 31, at the Wedeberg Conference Center at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
The invited speakers are nationally-renowned experts on global health-care reform issues:
“These experts are the innovators who are developing solutions that are driving improvements to health care. Their presentations are applicable to all health-care providers,” said Dr. Khaled Saleh, professor and chair, SIU Division of Orthopaedics.

The annual lecture is dedicated to the memory of E. Shannon Stauffer, M.D. Stauffer was professor and founding chairman of the SIU School of Medicine orthopedic residency program and spine fellowship, and program director of orthopedics and rehabilitation division in the SIU Department of Surgery.
