SIU Med School Fertility Seminar Open to the Public
Infertility treatment options will be the focus of a public education forum to be presented by the Fertility and IVF Center at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. It will be held 6 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 18 in Room 1012, Simmons Cancer Institute at SIU, 315 West Carpenter St., Springfield.
The sessions begin at 6 p.m. with “The Female Side of Infertility” presented by Dr. J. Ricardo Loret de Mola, director of the SIU Fertility and IVF Center and professor and chair of obstetrics and gynecology. The remaining sessions are “Nurse’s Role in the IVF Center” (6:15 p.m), “Dietetics in Fertility” (6:30 p.m.), “Oocytes, Sperm and Embryos: The Lab’s Role in Your Treatment” (6:45 p.m.) and the “Male Side of Infertility” by Dr. Tobias Kohler, male fertility specialist and assistant professor of urology at SIU.
The forum is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be offered. Parking is available on-site and across the street.
