Women Cancer Survivors to Discuss Nutrition Issues

A discussion about nutrition issues for women cancer survivors will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26 at Simmons Cancer Institute at Southern Illinois University 315 W. Carpenter St., Springfield.

The WAY (Women Around You) support group will host the discussion, which will be led by Diana Weyhenmeyer, a radiation and research nurse at St. John's Hospital.  “Practicing good nutritional habits will help cancer survivors maintain good health,” Weyhenmeyer said.

The event is free and open to all women who are post-treatment cancer survivors.  To register for the event, call 217-545-5408 or email weekdays.

WAY meets the fourth Wednesday of the month and is open to women who have experienced any kind of cancer.
