Scarf Tying Class Offered to Cancer Patients

A “Tying, Tea, Talk, and Touch” class will be held from 2:30-4 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2011 at Simmons Cancer Institute at SIU. 
The class, which will be taught by Melanie Eades, a licensed cosmetologist, is for women who are dealing with any type of hair loss and want to learn to tie headscarves.  “Bring a friend to help, a scrunchie, and any scarves you already own,” said Ellen Brotzman-DeSart, education coordinator at SCI.  Practice scarves are also provided for participants.
