Breast and Lung Cancer Support Groups Hold Joint Meeting

Lessening the pain without actually curing when cancer returns is the topic for a combined meeting of breast and lung cancer support groups at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, at the SIU Cancer Institute, located in the Baylis Building (first floor), 747 N. Rutledge St., Springfield.

Dr. Mary Bretscher, a medical oncologist at Springfield Clinic, will present information about palliative care when cancer returns.

The support groups have regular one-hour meetings each month in the SIU Cancer Institute. For more information, contact Tracy at 545-7434 weekdays.
