SIU Med School to Display Enos School Artwork

Artwork by Enos Elementary School students will be exhibited Thursday, March 11, through Wednesday, March 24, in the second floor main lobby of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, 801 N. Rutledge, Springfield.

The exhibit consists of approximately 60 pieces of art created by Enos students. It will be open to the public during the School's regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. A reception will be held for young artists and their families at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 24.

This is the eighth year for the exhibit. Enos has been SIU's adopted school in Springfield School District 186's business partner program since 1985. The art exhibit is among a number of ongoing activities presented by SIU and its employees throughout the school year for Enos students. These activities range from mentoring to donating school supplies and reading materials.
