Southern Illinois University School of Medicine has honored 121 employees in Springfield, Carbondale, Decatur and Quincy for their years of service.

Thirty-year awards went to David L. Allen, communications technician in information resources; Roma M. Kye, office systems specialist in pediatrics; Penny L. Lorenzini, medical services administrator in the plastic and reconstructive surgery division; Barbara Reichert, office systems specialist in medical microbiology, immunology and cell biology; Karen J. Riva, business manager in Center for Alzheimer Disease and Related Disorders; Cecilia A. Rogers, library operations assistant in medical library; Diana L. Smith, office systems specialist in pharmacology; and David Wade, Ph.D., associate professor of physiology.

Twenty-five year awards went to Sandra L. Armbruster, staff clerk, Terry S. Blakeman, offset printing supervisor, and Terri L. Rakes Proctor, security guard supervisor, all in capital planning and service operations; Dr. Terry G. Arnold, assistant professor of family and community medicine (Quincy); Glen P. Aylward, Ph.D., professor of pediatrics; Paula J. Eddington, account technician for SIU Physicians & Surgeons; Melaney L. Hughes, medical education program specialist in obstetrics and gynecology; Janice K. Kuhn, systems programmer in information resources; Tammy M. Lawrick, human resource manager in human resources; Kimberly A. Puccetti, purchasing officer in purchasing; Dr. Don E. Ramsey, associate professor in vascular surgery; Jacqueline D. Scolari, curriculum development specialist in curriculum affairs (Carbondale); Susan Lynn Swance, cashier in comptroller’s office; Sharon D. Tengler, office systems specialist in pediatrics; Judy Ann Thompson, laboratory helper in laboratory animal medicine; Steven J. Verhulst, Ph.D., associate professor of statistics and research consulting; and Aruna Weberg, researcher in the research and faculty affairs office.

Thirteen 20-year awards, 50 15-year awards and 33 10-year awards also were awarded.
