Healthy Lungs is Focus for To Your Health Lecture

Healthy lungs for all Americans is the topic of a free, public program, part of a "To Your Health" series being presented by Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and the Springfield Ministerial Alliance. The talk will be presented at 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, at the Washington Street Mission, 408 N. 8th St., Springfield. The presenter is Dr. Elamin Mahmoud Elamin.

Elamin is an associate professor of internal medicine at SIU School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree and a master's of science degree in surgery from the Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt (1982, 1986), where he also completed a residency in general and pediatric surgery (1987). He is board certified in internal medicine.

The "To Your Health" series is hosted at the invitation of the ministers in the Springfield Ministerial Alliance. The program moves each month to one of the churches.
