Fantastic Basket Raffle for CMN

A “Fantastic Basket” raffle is being held to raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN), which supports pediatric research, programs and equipment for the new children’s hospital in Springfield, a partnership of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and St. John’s Hospital. The money will go to St. John's and SIU to enhance their services for children, including support for the new SJCH.

“Fund raising activities such as this will help make it possible for us to provide care to more young patients here in Springfield. We appreciate this great effort by the Children’s Miracle Network,” said Dr. Mark Puczynski, SIU professor and chair of pediatrics and medical director of the St. John’s Children’s Hospital.

Winners can choose from a variety of “Fantastic Baskets” being created around specific themes such as holidays, sports, professions, gourmet foods and spa treatments.

Raffle tickets for the baskets will available October 17-28. Tickets sell for $1 each, 6 for $5, 12 for $10 and 25 for $20. The baskets can be seen and raffle tickets can be purchased at various St. John’s and SIU locations –

▪ St. John's Hospital Heritage Room (near the cafeteria), 800 East Carpenter St., 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday-Thursday, October 17-20.

▪ SIU Main Lobby, 801 N. Rutledge, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday- Friday, October 24-28.

The winning tickets will be drawn 2 p.m. Friday, October 28. Baskets can be picked up by winners after the raffle at SIU School of Medicine -- second floor lobby, 801 N. Rutledge.
