SIU Med School to Hold Job Fair in Springfield

A variety of job opportunities, both medical and non-medical, will be discussed at a job fair 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, September 24, at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield. The job fair is open to the public without charge and will be held in an outdoor tent, just north of the medical school’s main building at 801 N. Rutledge, Springfield.

Department representatives will be on hand to talk about a wide variety of job opportunities in many different areas including the call center, information technology, janitorial, medical assisting, medical records, nursing, clinical reception, research laboratories, secretarial, warehouse, and billing and collections.

Two sessions will be held to give attendees advice on interviewing for jobs and resume building at 11 a.m. and again at 12 noon. Information about benefits including tuition programs for employees and dependent children will be available. Free blood pressure screenings will be offered to attendees.
