SIU School of Medicine Employees Honored for Service

Southern Illinois University School of Medicine has honored 94 employees in Springfield, Carbondale, Decatur and Quincy for their years of service.

Thirty-year awards went to Carol L. Auston, reimbursement coding specialist in obstetrics and gynecology; George A. Dunaway, Jr., Ph.D., professor of pharmacology; Sally A. Godbey, medical education program specialist in otolaryngology head and neck surgery division; Paul Henry, Ph.D., professor of medical education (Carbondale); Dr. Randy A. Kienstra, professor of pediatrics; Theodore R. LeBlang, J.D., professor and chair of medical humanities; Michael B. Schwartz, Ph.D., associate professor of psychiatry; Beverly S. Vost, local area network administrator in institutional planning and management information; and Monty Webber, chief building operating engineer in capital planning and service operations.

Twenty-five year awards went to Gregory J. Brewer, Ph.D., professor of medical microbiology, immunology and cell biology; Diane L. Brinkman, budget analyst in management and budget; Alice F. Costa, administrative aide in surgery; Rebecca S. Dombrowski and April K. Hannant, office systems specialists in pediatrics; Candyce L. Luttrell, medical services administrator in family and community medicine; Dr. Michael P. McIlhany, assistant professor of neurosurgery; Keith D. Osburn, chief engineer, and Harold L. Tengler, Jr., safety officer, both in capital planning and service operations; Terry A. Stout, local area network support specialist in psychiatry; and Patricia M. White, nurse administrator in neurology.

Sixteen twenty year awards, 37 fifteen year awards and 21 ten year awards also were awarded.
