Thirteen SIU School of Medicine Faculty Promoted

Academic promotions have been awarded to thirteen faculty members at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.  The promotions were approved this spring by the SIU Board of Trustees and are effective this July 1.

[Note – faculty are in Springfield unless noted.]

Ten faculty members have been promoted – Dr. Gregory L. Bennett, from assistant professor to associate professor of pediatrics; Dr. Gregory P. Brandt, from assistant professor to associate professor of pediatrics; Lisabeth A. DiLalla, Ph.D., from associate professor to professor of family and community medicine in Carbondale; Dr. Carmel M. Fratianni, from assistant professor to associate professor of internal medicine; Dr. Kathy A. Lake, from assistant professor to associate professor of pediatrics; Laura L. Murphy, Ph.D., from associate professor to professor of physiology in Carbondale; Dr. Kyaw Naing, from assistant professor to associate professor of family and community medicine in Carbondale; Dr. Erica E. Nelson, from assistant professor to associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology; Dr. Richard B. Rosher, from associate professor to professor of internal medicine; and Dr. Quincy O. Scott, from associate professor to professor of family and community medicine in Carbondale.

Three faculty members have been promoted with tenure – Dr. L. Stewart Massad, from associate professor to professor of obstetrics and gynecology; Peter Patrylo, Ph.D., from assistant professor to associate professor of physiology in Carbondale; and Dr. Michael C. Schneider, from assistant professor to associate professor of pediatrics.
