March 13, 2008 SIU Med School to Display Enos School Artwork Artwork by Enos Elementary School students will be exhibited Wednesday, March 19, through Wednesday, April 2, in the second floor main lobby of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, 801 N. Rutledge, Springfield. The exhibit consists of 55 pieces of art created by Enos students in kindergarten through fifth grade. It will be open to the public during the School’s regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. A reception will be held for the young artists and their families at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 2. This is the twelfth year for the exhibit. Enos has been SIU’s “adopted school” in Springfield School District 186’s business partner program since 1985. The art exhibit is among a number of ongoing activities presented by SIU and its employees throughout the school year for Enos students. These activities range from mentoring to donating school supplies and reading materials. - 30 - |
