May 18, 2009 Two from SIU School of Medicine have received professional honors. Dr. Susan Hingle, Hingle joined the SIU faculty in 1998. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center (1997). She earned her medical degree at Rush Medical College (1993) and her bachelor’s at Miami University (1989). Hingle is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. A native of Decatur, Hingle is the daughter of Dr. Herbert and Sharon Thompson of Decatur. She and her husband, Kevin Hingle, have two children, Thomas and Ryan. Dr. Harald Lausen, Lausen joined the SIU faculty in 2007. He completed his family practice residency at SIU (2003). He earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (2000) and both his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in biology at the University of Illinois at Springfield (1997, 1993). Lausen is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. A native of Springfield, Lausen and his wife, Jackie Lausen, have two children. |
