November 24, 2008 Two faculty members at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine have received honors at the annual meeting of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) this month in San Antonio. Dr. David S. Resch, Resch is chief of SIU’s internal medicine-psychiatry division and medical director for the internal medicine-psychiatry unit at Memorial Medical Center. He joined SIU’s faculty in 1992. He completed residencies in internal medicine and psychiatry at SIU and University of Iowa (1990, 1992). Resch earned his medical degree at SIU (1986) and his bachelor’s degree at Illinois Wesleyan University (1982). He is board certified in internal medicine, psychiatry and neurology, with added qualifications in geriatric psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine. Connie Poole Poole joined the SIU faculty in 1990. She earned her master in library science degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (1974) and her bachelor’s degree at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa (1973). - 30 - |
