November 6, 2008 Two from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine have received professional honors. Dr. Gayle E. Woodson, Woodson joined the SIU faculty in 2003 and serves as chair of the otolaryngology and head and neck surgery division. She completed a fellowship in laryngology at the Institute of Laryngology & Otology in London, England (1982). She completed her residency in otolaryngology at Baylor University College of Medicine (1981) and her general surgery residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital (1978). Woodson received her medical degree from Baylor (1975) and her bachelor’s degree from Rice University (1972). She is board certified in otolaryngology. Dr. Susan Hingle, Hingle joined the SIU faculty in 1998. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center (1997). She earned her medical degree at Rush Medical College (1993) and her bachelor’s at Miami University (1989). Hingle is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. -30- |
