SIU Med School Names Student Class Officers
Medical students have been elected officers, representatives and committee members for the Classes of 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield.
Established in 1970, SIU School of Medicine is this year celebrating the 40th anniversary of its founding. The School’s mission is to assist the people of central and southern Illinois in meeting their health needs through education, patient care, research and community service. SIU School of Medicine Class of 2011 Officers
- Sara Rubenacker, daughter of Keith and Nolene Rubenacker of Dahlgren, was elected chair of the senior class.
- Suzanne Suprenant, daughter of Kim Stuth of Bourbonnais, was elected vice-chair of the senior class.
- Bethany Kearns, daughter of Michael and Carmella Kearns of Springfield, was elected secretary of the senior class.
- Adam Adruska, son of Gary and Linda Andruska of Marine, was elected treasurer of the senior class and to the doctoring committee.
- Mary Sterrett, daughter of Paul and Marguerite Sterrett of New Baden, was elected as senior class representative to the student general assembly.
- Adam VanderWaal, son of Dr. William and Lynn VanderWaal of Bloomington, was elected as senior class representative to the student general assembly.
- Shariff Shakir, son of Linda Shakir of Harrisburg, was elected as a member of the Organization of Student Representatives and Year 4 curriculum committee.

- Anthony J. Buecker, son of James and Christine Buecker of Peoria Heights, was elected to serve on the information management policy and parking committees.
- Norah Farley, daughter of Glenn and Barbara Farley of Waterloo, was elected to serve on the library advisory committee.
- Marita Fisher, DuQuoin, was elected to serve on the student progress committee.
- Kimberly Dubois, daughter of Richard and Carol Dubois of Lacon, was elected to serve on the traffic appeals committee.

- Stephanie Shinn, daughter of John Shinn and Nancy Mettam of Danville, was elected vice-chair of the junior class.
- Kristina Lynch, daughter of Daniel and Linda Flynn of Chatham, was elected secretary of the junior class.
- Nicholson Chadwick, son of Stephen and Melinda Chadwick of Decatur, was elected treasurer of the junior class.
