SIU Offers Scarf Tying Class for Cancer Patients

A class for women who are dealing with any type of hair loss and want to learn to tie headscarves is being offered by Simmons Cancer Institute (SCI) at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. “Tying, Tea, Talk and Touch” class will be held from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Monday, June 20, at SCI, 315 W. Carpenter, Springfield.

The class will be taught by Melanie Eades, a licensed cosmetologist.  Participants should bring various scarves and a hair scrunchie and can bring a friend to help.  Practice scarves also will be available.
