General Obstetrics & Gynecology: Providing a full range of general Obstetric and Gynecology services in the outpatient and inpatient setting. Erica Nelson, MD, is the Chief of the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Gynecologic Oncology: Provides medical and surgical services to patients requiring special treatment of malignant diseases and tumors of the female reproductive tract. We currently have two MD faculty members and a nurse practitioner, and are recruiting for a third MD faculty member and a second nurse practitioner. Dr. Laurent Brard is the Gynecologic Oncology Division Chief.
Maternal Fetal Medicine: Offers high-risk care for the pregnant woman. SIU’s MFM Division works in association with the Springfield Perinatal Center at St. John’s Hospital. The division consists of three high risk pregnancy specialists. The Chief of MFM is Robert Abrams, MD.
Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility: Is currently staffed by two fertility specialists, one in female fertility and one for male fertility, as well as a nurse practitioner for each specialty. The Chief of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility is J. Ricardo Loret de Mola, MD.
Urogynecology: Offers advanced pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery for female urinary incontinence in both the departments of Urology and Ob/Gyn. Our new multidisciplinary center is directed by our Urogynecology Division Chief, Sohail Siddique, MD.
