Dr. Sohail Siddique is the director of the Minimally Invasive Robotic Surgery Fellowship which allows for a comprehensive surgical experience. There is exposure to all of the sub-specialties in Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgery, and Urology with a balance of surgeries between laparoscopic, robotic, and hysteroscopic cases with multiple attendings. Furthermore, there is a rich research environment at SIU which allows the fellow to pursue multi-disciplinary research with a research assistant available for support. The fellow has the opportunity not only to learn but also to participate in the training of residents and medical students. After completing a fellowship at SIU, the graduate will have the ability to easily obtain an academic position, or join a private practice and excel.
