The physicians of the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology have expertise in all areas of obstetrics and gynecology.
- Specialty areas include surgical gynecology, menopausal medicine & hormone replacement therapy, management of abnormal bleeding, management of abnormal pap tests, colposcopy, conization procedures, HPV vaccination, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases, endometriosis, sexual medicine, vulvar disease, pelvic floor dysfunction, pediatric and adolescent gynecology, and women's wellness.
- We perform a variety of surgical procedures including abdominal, vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic hysterectomies. We perform myomectomy (removal of fibroids) both with minimal invasive techniques and open procedures. We offer surgery on ovaries and fallopian tubes including minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, surgical sterilization, and treatment of ovarian masses and endometriosis. Hysteroscopic procedures include removal of polyps and fibroids, dilation and curettage, endometrial ablation and tubal occlusion procedures.
- For our obstetrical patients we offer prenatal care for patients both high and low risk, working closely with our maternal fetal medicine colleagues. We offer delivery at both St. Johns Hospital and Memorial Medical Center. Both facilities have anesthesia available and modern delivery rooms. High risk pregnancies are primarily cared for at St. Johns Hospital where there is 24 hour in-house coverage.
